What are the dimensions of TMK FLY 02 folded in a bag?

The folded dimensions of the TMK FLY 02 bike carrier (for 2 e-bikes) in the transport bag are 75 × 50 × 26 cm.

How do I secure the TMK FLY carrier once the bikes are removed?

The best way to secure the carrier is to quickly disassemble it and store it in your car trunk. It takes just 10 seconds.

How do I know if the TMK FLY carrier is suitable for my (e-)bike?

To check whether our carrier is compatible with your bike(s), simply verify these three key parameters:

  • Wheelbase: up to 1,300 mm

  • Bike weight: up to 30 kg per bike (total capacity 60 kg)

  • Tyre width: up to 2.85"

Where should I grip the bike?

Grabbing the bike in the right spot is the key to perfect stability. The ideal attachment points are shown in the images and explained in detail in the “Pro Tips” section above.

Can I carry scooters on the carrier as well?

Are the quick-release levers safe? Will they hold a heavy e-bike?

The quick-release levers serve as a safety lock in case you hit a large obstacle at speed (e.g. a speed bump or railway crossing). They work in exactly the same way as the quick-release clamp on your saddle. Yes, they are safe — we have thoroughly tested them with heavy e-bikes.

I have the 2-bike carrier. How can I transport just one bike?

There are two easy options for carrying a single bike on the TMK FLY 02:

  • Use the segment with the lights and license plate holder.

  • Purchase the single-bike segment as an accessory and transport the bike on that (this is a very popular choice among our customers).

Can the carrier be used on vehicles with a spare wheel mounted on the rear door?

Yes, in most cases it can. It depends on the distance between the tow ball centre and the first mounting position on the carrier. On our carrier, this distance is 34 cm. If your spare wheel fits within this clearance, you can use the TMK FLY carrier without any issues.

Can I use a bike protective cover / bag while the bike is on the TMK FLY carrier?

No. We strongly advise against it and never recommend using any bike cover on the carrier.

How are the carrier and bikes secured against theft?

Both the carrier and your bike(s) can be protected against theft. See the dedicated chapter on locking for full details.
